Dance, blether and have a dram or two, with music from the excellent Full Tilt Ceilidh Band
Full Tilt Ceilidh Band is a lively, fun bunch consisting of fiddles, keyboard, drums and vocals - box and guitarist too if desired. We have been a steadfast landmark in the Highlands for over 15 years, sure to draw a crowd to every event. Known for our quirky sense of humour and always-up-for-anything attitude, we are invited to play regularly at Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival and award-winning Hootananny's in Inverness.
Our fiddler Irene was taught by the late, great Donald Riddell CBE, a Pipe Major in the Lovat Scouts and one of the tradition bearers who kept Highland music alive in the 20th century. In addition to leading a sought-after band, Irene is a frequent tutor at feis and in schools across the Highlands, and offers private lessons in person and remotely around the world. Irene has taught hundreds of aspiring pupils, passing along the traditions and her passion for music to young and old alike.
Irene currently teaches fiddle, mandolin, tenor banjo and whistle
in person and remotely via Zoom, Skype, WhatsApp and FaceTime.
